DENVER, COLO. ? Emily R. Kann, of Jensen and Jennings in Winfiled, has joined a network of approximately 2,000 agricultural professionals who are members of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).
Kann joined the society as an associate member. Associate members are those who desire to become professional or accredited members, but do not meet the requirements. Associate members do provide management and/or appraisal services on rural property belonging to others for a fee or salary.
Kann, a rural appraiser for five years, is now affiliated with the largest and oldest association that represents a professionally trained group capable of providing expert guidance and assistance to people who own or operate agricultural lands and rural resource properties. ASFMRA was founded in 1929 and is the nation?s pioneer organization in rural property issues and education.
Rural appraisers specialize in the complex process of providing an accurate estimate for the value of rural resource properties. Appraisers take all the factors that affect a particular piece of property into consideration and prepare a customer report which provides the necessary information that landowners need to make sound selling and purchasing decisions. In addition, an accredited rural appraiser is connected to a national network of professional resource information.
