WASHINGTON — Sen. Joni Ernst named Washington County’s Continuum Ag the “small business of the week” in a press release Monday afternoon, an honor the lawmaker bestows on one company per county every term.
Continuum Ag, an agricultural consultant and soil health monitoring company was founded in 2015, and is no stranger to accolades. The farm north of Washington has been visited by a handful of government officials in recent years, and its founder and CEO was named on a Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2021.
“Since 2015, Continuum Ag has rooted themselves in helping farmers manage and improve their soil health,” Sen. Ernst said in a statement. “Partnering with over 40 states and 20 countries, Continuum Ag continues to encourage regenerative agricultural practices that enable farmers to make data-driven decisions.”
In a statement provided by the business, Continuum Ag CEO and Founder Mitchell Hora said he was “incredibly honored to have been selected,” and endorsed the senator’s efforts to extend a tax credit for certain biodiesel producers.
