Esther Marie Stotts, 95, of New London, died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the New London Specialty Care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, in New London. Rev. Rod Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, in Burlington. Visitation will begin after noon on Sunday, Jan. 3, at the chapel, with the family greeting friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

Esther Marie Stotts, 95, of New London, died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the New London Specialty Care.

Memorials have been established to Great River Hospice, New London Christian Church, and the New London Country Club.
Stotts was born on July 26, 1920, east of Denmark, the daughter of Ernest Luther and Veva Mae Diton Cronk. She was a graduate of Denmark High School. She married Francis (Frank) Holmes, on Dec. 16, 1941, in Denmark. He preceded her in death. She then married Archie Stotts, in New London, on May 16, 1970. He also preceded her in death.
She worked at Sylvania, in Burlington, for 13 years, and then nine years at JI Case, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the New London Christian Church.
She enjoyed doing crafts, participating in craft shows, going to Burlington Bees baseball games, camping, playing cards with her grandchildren, bird-watching and being with her family.
Stotts is survived by one daughter, Ilene Howell, of New London; one step-daughter, Mary Snyder, of Burlington; two step-sons, Raymond (Edna) Stott; and Earl (Peggy) Stott, both of Burlington; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; four step-sons, Archie Eugene; Jimmy; Bob; and Harold; one step-grandson; one sister, Eunice Snider; and one brother, Edward Lodwick.
