Expect delays in Southeast Iowa Union delivery
Dec. 20, 2022 9:04 am
Impending weather may delay delivery of the Thursday, Dec. 22 and Friday, Dec. 23 editions of the Southeast Iowa Union.
The paper is printed in Des Moines and returned to the Union offices in the overnight hours before being delivered to area post offices by local drivers.
With blizzard-like conditions expected to begin overnight Wednesday and continuing through Friday, delivery in a timely manner would not outweigh the safety of the delivery drivers.
If conditions allow, the paper will be delivered as normal. If not, you may receive one, two or three papers at one time on the next publication date.
Union staff will be observing the Christmas holiday on Monday, Dec. 26, there is no paper scheduled for that day. Any missed papers would be delivered with the Tuesday, Dec. 27 edition.
The Union offices in Fairfield, Mt Pleasant and Washington are scheduled to be closed in observance of the holidays on Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26. The weather may alter office hours on Thursday, Dec. 22.
