Failure to obey traffic signal results in crash
A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Washington and Adams streets was investigated by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department early Sunday morning, Sept. 4, at approximately 3:30 a.m.

A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Washington and Adams streets was investigated by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department early Sunday morning, Sept. 4, at approximately 3:30 a.m.
It was found that a 2000 Chevy operated by Stephen Antwi-Larbi, 27, of Mt. Pleasant had been traveling south on Adams Street. The Chevy stopped at the flashing red light at Washington Street, after stopping he entered the intersection failing to see an eastbound 2008 Ford, causing a collision.
The Ford was operated by Hailey Workman, no age or address given.
No injuries were reported, however combined damages to the two vehicles was estimated at $4,000.
As a result of the incident, Antwi-Larbi was cited for driving under suspension, failure to obey flashing red stop signal and failure to prove security against liability.
