Fairfield businesses alter operations due to coronavirus

In an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus, numerous Fairfield businesses have altered their operations to limit contact with the public. Courtesy of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the following is a list of Fairfield businesses and their updated hours/operation due to COVID-19 concerns:

Adela's - As of 3/16/20 Adela's is open normal business hours (M-F from 9:30am - 5pm and Sat 9:30am - 4pm). They are also offering shopping via Facebook and call in. We can deliver to doorsteps, offer pick up and shipping.

Amore Mio - As of 3/17/20 Amore Mio will be in contact soon for business hours.

Aranda's - As of 3/17/20 Aranda's is carry out or delivery only. There is a $5 fee for delivery.

Asian Pho Bistro - As of 3/17/20 delivery may be available soon, pending insurance. Highly recommend call-in orders to decrease number of people in dining area at one time. Stay tuned also to their Facebook page for any updates.

Brown's Shoe Fit - As of 3/16/20 Brown's Shoe Fit is open M-F form 9am - 6pm and Sat from 9am - 5pm. They are set up to deliver or ship shoes. Delivery inside Fairfield city limits is free. Shipping outside city limits will be at a discounted rate, but will be negotiated at time of sale.

Cafe Paradiso - As of 3/17/20 Cafe Paradiso will have take-out.

Central Park Home Furnishings - As of 3/16/20 Central Park Home Furnishings is open by appointment only for at least the next two weeks.

Chickadee - As of 3/17/20 Chickadee is open usual days and hours: Tues-Fri from 11am - 5pm and Sat from 10am - 4pm. Offering curbside pick up or delivery on purchases.

Fairfield Elks Lodge #1192 - As of 3/17/20 Fairfield Elks Lodge is closed until further notice.

Everybody's Whole Foods Cafe - As of 3/17/20 Everybody's will have curbside and inside take-out.

Fairfield Golf and Country Club - As of 3/17/20 Fairfield Golf and Country Club is closed until further notice.

Flirt - As of 3/17/20 Flirt will be closed this week and take it a week at a time to see how this develops.

Ghost Vape - As of 3/17/20 Ghost Vape has stated that if any restaurant is looking for delivery options, they are available; they are also looking for help from restaurants to make this possible for Fairfield - i.e. dishwashers, wait staff, that may be out of jobs. We will need drivers to service all restaurants in the area.

The Green Gourmet - As of 3/17/20 The Green Gourmet is open 11:30am - 3:30pm M-F. They are currently open but only for take-out.

Habitat for Humanity Restore - As of 3/16/20 hours are as usual for Wed-Sat from 10am - 5pm.

Henderson's Custom Framing and Gallery - As of 3/17/20 Henderson's Custom Framing and Cindy's ArtBeat will be open this week Tues-Fri from 10am - 5pm and Sat from 11am - 3pm. The following week they are leaning towards closing for a couple of weeks but have not confirmed this yet.

Hy-Vee - As of 3/16/20 Hy-Vee has normal hours. They are deep-cleaning overnight and procuring extra loads daily to get stock status back up.

ILA - As of 3/16/20 ILA is providing delivery and take-out.

Istanbul Grill - As of 3/17/20 Istanbul Grill will be providing carry-out only. No delivery, no dine-in. Ask about breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please visit their Facebook page.

McDonald's - As of 3/17/20 McDonald's will be drive-thru and carry out/curbside only. Their lobby will be fully shut down starting next week for construction.

Roosevelt Rec Center - As of 3/17/20 the Roosevelt Rec Center is closed until further notice.

Sabi's Cafe - As of 3/17/20 Sabi's Cafe is closed until further notice.

Stuff a Bear and More - As of 3/17/20 Stuff a Bear and More is open regular hours from 11am - 6pm Tues-Sat. They also sell custom kits to-go if customers want an at-home activity.

The Fairfield and Transcendental Meditation Info Center - As of 3/17/20 The Fairfield and TM Info Center is closed until further notice. Please visit their website for information on the Cities of Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, as well as information on the Transcendental Meditation technique and its affiliate programs. You may contact them through the website or via email at Ff@TM.org. They are available to answer your questions and inquiries and will reply promptly.

University Store (MIU Bookstore) - As of 3/16/20 the University Store is currently closed to everyone except for students, staff and faculty.
