Apr. 14, 2022 1:00 am
The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Awards Banquet presented by MidWestOne Bank will celebrate the many successes in 2021.
This premier annual event celebrates the Chamber, Chamber members, and the Fairfield community.
The 2022 banquet will be held on Thursday, April 28 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
The awards ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. and wrap up by 9 p.m. Reservations are $38 per person. Full and half table reservations are also available.
This year’s theme is Farm to Table and the anticipated dress code is less formal with jeans being appropriate.
With Sweet N Saucy catering the event, it promises to be a great meal.
Utilizing some local products like Cedar Valley Wine, the meal will include entrées of beef bourguignon, herbed chicken breast or couscous and portabella veggies with garlic scalloped potatoes au gratin, spring greens salad, and artisan bread.
Dessert will be apple crisp or blackberry cobbler. There will be appetizers of crostini, antipasto skewers, and turkey parmesan meatballs in marinara during the social hour prior to the meal.
Every award the Chamber gives recognizes outstanding investment and innovation achieved by Fairfield business.
Honored achievements include improvements, community investment, innovation, and lifelong accomplishment.
The Annual Awards Banquet evening builds to the much anticipated announcement of the Citizen of the Year Award. These honorees are selected by previous winners and are recognized for their outstanding volunteer service which significantly contributed to the betterment of community-life in Fairfield.
“Volunteers are the lifeblood of our community,” Chamber Executive Director Mendy McAdams said. “These servant leaders make events happen and move behind the scenes to improve the lives of Fairfield citizens.”
The Chamber will celebrate these individuals at the Awards Banquet.
“Our board members, ambassadors, and committee members are all dedicated and imaginative,” McAdams said. “We are always improving and growing the current events offered as well as adding new and exciting events in the future.
“The Chamber is fortunate to have so many great friends, sponsors, donors and of course, members. We, at the Chamber, connect, support, engage and celebrate our members and look forward to continuing to do so in 2022.”
Reservations can be made by contacting the Chamber at info@FairfieldIowa.com or (641) 472-2111.
