Fairfield eighth-grade ?A? boys cruise
The Fairfield eighth-grade boys? basketball team took two of three games from Mount Pleasant on Feb. 2.
The ?A? team came away with an easy 41-22 win. Jordan Reid scored 14 points to go with five steals and five dimes. Alex Crile recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, and Trevor Drish and Zach Martin scored four each. Nick Higgins, Nathan Davidson and Nathan Thompson scored two points apiece.

The ?A? team came away with an easy 41-22 win. Jordan Reid scored 14 points to go with five steals and five dimes. The Panthers narrowly beat Fairfield in the ?B? contest, 19-17. Nathan Thompson led the way with six points followed by Jacob Unkrich with four and Tristan Ledger adding three points.
Cody Mathis and Jarrett Hellweg scored six points each as Fairfield?s ?C? team won 22-21.
?A?-teamers cream Washington
Jordan Reid scored 16 points with three steals and the Fairfield ?A? team bounced conference rival Washington 43-27.
Also for Fairfield, Alex Crile scored 10 points while dishing out five assists, Nick Higgins scored eight points with three steals, Trevor Drish had five points and eight boards, and Zach Martin netted four points with seven rebounds.
Jacob Unkrich?s six points helped the ?B? team escape with a 12-11 victory. Drew Stever and Gavin Stever also contributed with four and two points, respectively.
The Trojan ?C? team fell 16-13.
Next up for the eighth-grade boys is a home game vs. Mount Pleasant today.
