FAIRFIELD — Fairfield First Fridays will celebrate the work of local photographers during this Friday’s Art Walk.
Fairfield First Fridays Director Marla Brader has prepared a slideshow featuring photos by the area’s talented photographers. Residents have two ways to view it, online and in-person. The online slideshow will be available starting at 6 p.m. on Art Walk’s social media pages, with links posted on its website at www.fairfieldfirstfridays.org. Revelations Café will host the in-person slideshow from 6-8 p.m.
The local photographers who will be featured include: David Patterson, Claudia Rojo Vaughan, Santiago Ascencio, Paulina E., Shelbie Long, Werner Elmker, Denise Gallagher and others, including Brader herself.
Brader said this is the first time in Art Walk’s history that it has held a show specifically for photographers.
“We tend to have a lot of events that focus on people who paint or dance, but photography seemed to get overlooked,” she said.
Brader said attendees to the event will be treated to a nice variety of photographs.
“For instance, Werner Elmker focuses on landscapes and events, while David Patterson focuses on the trains that come through town,” she said.
