Fairfield Freshmen play seven matches in two days
The Fairfield freshmen girls played five matches Saturday at a tournament in Mediapolis.
The Trojans beat Holy Trinity 21-19, 21-11. Fairfield was defeated by West Branch, Mediapolis, Davis County and Fort Madison.
Taylor Marlay went 21-21 serving and recorded two aces. Natalie Angstead went 26-28 serving with four aces.

The Trojans hosted a triangular Monday. Fairfield defeated Mount Pleasant 25-21, 25-23, but fell to Mediapolis 25-14, 25-12.
Kaylee Watson went 20-21 serving with two aces. Watson also led in assists with 12.
Brooke McLain went a perfect 10-10 serving and recorded one ace. McLain led the team in digs with 18.
