Fairfield freshmen volleyball team earns second in Fairfield tournament
The Fairfield freshmen volleyball team hosted a tournament Saturday in Fairfield.
The Trojans earned second place. The girls defeated Van Buren, Ottumwa and Central Lee. The only match of the day they lost was against Davis County. All the games were finished in straight sets.
Kaylee Watson finished the day with 13 aces and went 46-48 serving. Haylee Beard had ten aces.

Watson led the team in assists with 23 and digs with 30.
Shelby Heston led the team in kills with 16. Beard recorded 12 kills of her own. Heston also had five blocks.
The freshmen team travels to Mount Pleasant Tuesday to play the Panthers.
