Mallory Mahon will serve as the next principal of Fairfield High School, pending formal approval by the district’s school board.
Mahon brings 16 years of experience in education to the role. Previously, she has served as a band director and coordinator of student services in the Fairfield Community School District. She has demonstrated a passion for creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
"I am thrilled to be joining Fairfield High School and serving as the next leader of this amazing school community,” said Mahon. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the students, staff, parents, and community to continue the tradition of excellence that FHS is known for, while also looking forward to moving into the next chapter of success.”
Throughout the search for a new principal, FCSD actively involved community members in the selection process. The search process included a community survey and community participation in onsite interviews with finalists.
“We are so excited to welcome Mallory Mahon as our next high school principal,” said Dr. Stephanie Mishler, Interim Superintendent. “We especially appreciate the members of the community who provided their input and helped us identify the best candidate. Mallory is already a valued member of the FCSD community, and I am so thrilled to see her step into this new role.”
Mahon holds a Master of Science in Education in K-12 Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. The board is expected to formally approve Mahon on May 6. She is set to begin her role as principal effective July 1.
