Fairfield High School to celebrate Homecoming Week

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield’s Homecoming Week is early this year, Sept. 11-15, with the week culminating in a varsity football game against Keokuk at 7 p.m. that Friday.
The theme of this year’s Homecoming is “Trojan Pride,” and involves dress-up days for each day of the week along with activities for students and the public.
The following is a schedule of dress-up days and events for Fairfield High School during the week:
Monday, Sept. 11 — “Color Wars Day”
Homecoming Court Assembly at 10 a.m.
Freshman/JV Volleyball Triangular at home at 5 p.m.
Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 12th — “Pajama Day”
Fresh/JV/Varsity Volleyball at Washington at 5:45 p.m.
JV/V Cross Country at Oskaloosa 4:15 p.m.
Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 13 — “Barbie/Ken Day”
Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.
Thursday 14th — “A.B.C. DAY”
Iron Man Volleyball at 2:20 p.m. (Daily Schedule)
Thursday Night Rally at Trojan Stadium starting at approximately 6:30 p.m.

- Cheerleader performance
- Powder Puff Game
- King & Queen Crowning (Ivy Larsen) at approximately 8 p.m.
- Torch Run to start the Bonfire
- Pep Talk — Coach Nate Weaton
Friday, Sept. 15 — “FHS Orange and Black Spirit Day”
Varsity Cross Country to run the football from Keokuk to Fairfield starting 6 a.m.
Students dismissed at 1:50 p.m.; Parade at 2 p.m. from FHS to Fairfield’s Central Park
Central Park Rally — Mr. Fred Hucke as emcee
