Fairfield hosting Christmas Light Showdown

The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by participating in the Fairfield Christmas Light Showdown Event! This is your chance to showcase your festive spirit and be part of a delightful community tradition.

You can compete as a Fairfield homeowner or participate as a judge during the Christmas Light Showdown Cruise.

To enter, simply register your home online by Nov. 27. The contest is open to homes within the city limits of Fairfield, and there is no entry fee. On Dec. 2, light up your decorations and get ready for a night of friendly competition! Join us for an evening that promises to be a highlight of the holiday season.

Cash prizes await the most dazzling displays:

First Place: $500

Second Place: $250

Third Place: $100

The public will determine the winners as they cruise the town, selecting their favorite displays. Voting takes place on Dec. 2 from 4:30-8 p.m. during the Christmas Light Showdown Cruise. Ballots and maps will be available at the Visit Fairfield office (107 N. Main St) starting at 4:30 p.m., and must be returned by 8 p.m. Winners will be announced at 9 p.m. on the Visit Fairfield Facebook page.
