FAIRFIELD – Two people died in a house fire in Fairfield Thursday night, Feb. 26.
The Fairfield Police Department issued a news release Friday morning indicating that officers were dispatched to reports of a house fire in the 500 block of South B Street, where it intersects with Monroe Avenue, at 10:08 p.m. Thursday. The Fairfield Fire Department arrived on scene to battle the blaze, and located two occupants inside.
“Both individuals were removed from the residence; however, they were pronounced deceased at the scene,” read the news release from interim Fairfield Police Chief Joel Smith.
