Fairfield library to host film showing to honor MLK Day

The Fairfield Public Library will honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20 by showing the film “Freedom Summer” in the meeting room at 2 p.m.
The event will include hot beverages and snacks, plus time for discussion before and after the movie. Library Director Alecs Schmidt Mickunas said honoring MLK Day has become a tradition at the library, which has hosted a program to celebrate the day four of the last five years.
