Fairfield man faces first-degree murder charge following Aug. 25 shooting

FAIRFIELD ? A Fairfield man ? Tyler James Webster, 33, of 2104 185th Street ? has been charged with first-degree murder following an incident at 7:28 a.m. Aug. 25.
Webster is charged in the murder of Buddy Lee Frisbie, 32.
According to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office, dispatchers received a call reporting a shooting that had taken place at 2469 Marigold Blvd. in Jefferson County. Deputies responded and found a deceased male subject who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Deputies arrested Webster and charged him with the crime. He was to have made an initial court appearance Sunday. He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office was assisted at the crime scene by the Fairfield Police Department, Jefferson County Attorney?s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations, Jefferson County Police Reserves, Jefferson County Area Ambulance Service, state and local medical examiner?s offices, Washington County Sheriff?s Office and the Van Buren County Sheriff?s Office.
The investigation is continuing.
