Fairfield motorists asked to avoid Highway 1 and Jefferson intersection

Fairfield Public Works Director and City Engineer Melanie Carlson announced Monday that the intersection of Highway 1 and Jefferson Avenue in Fairfield will be closed until work is completed.
The intersection was closed to accommodate work on water mains. Motorists are asked to find an alternate route. Weather permitting, both lanes of traffic will open as soon as possible.
