Fairfield schools to dismiss early for heat wave
The Fairfield Community School District will follow its heat schedule Monday and Tuesday, meaning school will begin at 8 a.m. and dismiss at 1:30 p.m.

Superintendent Art Sathoff said in a press release today the district made the decision because of projected highs in the mid-90s next week and because of high temperatures reported in classrooms this week. Athletic activities will be announced by the Activities Office.
Fairfield schools have been following the heat schedule since classes began Wednesday and originally planned to begin normal school hours Monday.
