Fairfield to hold fireworks show July 4

The city of Fairfield has announced that this year’s fireworks display will be July 4 after dark at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. In the event of rain, the display will be the following week on July 11.
For those interested in holding their own personal fireworks display, the city reminds residents that the only days that fireworks can be discharged in Fairfield are July 3-4 between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. No person under 18 years of age can discharge fireworks without parental supervision.
