Fairfield Trojans prepare for Homecoming Week

Fairfield Community School District will celebrate Homecoming Week Sept. 23-27, including the varsity football game against Benton Community that Friday night.

The school has released the following schedule of events for the week, which includes the Thursday night pep rally, Friday Homecoming parade, and a dance that will be held Saturday night.

Monday 23rd – “PAJAMA DAY”

- Freshman/JV Volleyball Quad at Centerville 4:30 p.m.

- Community Meeting on the School Bond at Libertyville Community Center 7 p.m.

- Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.

Tuesday 24th– “BEACH/HAWAIIAN SHIRT DAY”

- Fresh/JV/Varsity Volleyball vs. Ft. Madison 5:45 p.m.

- JV/V Cross Country at Mt. Pleasant 4:30 p.m.

- Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday 25th – “ANYTHING BUT A BACKPACK DAY”

- Iron Man Volleyball at 2 p.m

- Float Construction until 9:30 p.m.

Thursday 26th– “TEAM/JERSEY DAY”

- 9th/JV Triangular Volleyball at home 4 p.m.

- Thursday Night Rally - at Trojan Stadium starting at approximately 7 p.m.

- Band Performance

- Cheerleader performance

- Powder Puff Game

- Pep Talk by Coach Nick Kaska

- King & Queen Crowning (By Connor Hawkins and Carley Seeley) at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Friday 27th– “FHS ORANGE & BLACK SPIRIT DAY” (Show your school spirit with Orange and Black)

- Students dismissed at 12:05 p.m.; Parade at 12:15 p.m.

- Central Park Rally – Mr. Wigle emcee

- Homecoming Dance (Cheerleaders)

- School & Fight Song (Band and Cheerleaders)

- Candy contest winner announced

- Baby picture winners announced

- Float winner announced

- Homecoming Court and King & Queen announced by Mr. Wigle

- Pep Talk by Coach Matt Jones

- Decorate Commons for dance after Pep Rally (Student Council)

- Football Game: 9th/Varsity at 5 p.m.vs. Benton Community

Saturday 28th -

- Dance 8-11 p.m.

– Student Council clean up after the dance
