Fairfield Women’s Club offers ham balls, chicken casseroles

Nov. 17, 2020 12:00 am
Due to COVID-19, the Fairfield Women's Club canceled its annual Election Day Soup and Pie Luncheon. For a number of years, the group made frozen ham balls and chicken casseroles available at Christmas at the McElhinny event, which is also cancelled.
However, the group decided to offer its ham balls, chicken casseroles, stuffing and pies before Thanksgiving. The club is making the dishes this week and will accept orders through 4 p.m. Wednesday. Club President Toni Griffith said the fundraiser will go toward defraying the cost of insurance and utilities for the McElhinny House in Fairfield.
The meals will be carryout only, no delivery or indoor dining. Griffith said it's not safe for the club's members to deliver because of the pandemic.
To order, call 641-472-3241, 641-472-2473 or 641-472-0013.
