FAIRFIELD – Granville Drive in Fairfield, which runs by the Maharishi International University Rec Center and golden domes, will be closed for two months beginning Wednesday, Dec. 9.
The road will be closed to accommodate the nearby sewer construction. All traffic to Maharishi School and the university is asked to come through the MIU campus entrances on either Highway 1 on the west side of campus or from B Street on to Zimmerman Drive on the north side of campus.
Parents are asked to use the Highway 1 entrance to drop off their children at Maharishi School, and are asked to use caution since it is a busy area with much pedestrian traffic.
Badgett Drive, which goes by the Punj Tennis Courts and connects Granville Drive to B Street, will remain open.
