Fairfield’s railroad crossings to remain closed through June 16
Most of Fairfield’s railroad crossings closed last week and will remain closed through Friday, June 16 while Burlington Northern Santa Fe conducts repairs to the railroad.
The crossings affected by construction are those at D, B, Court, Main, Fourth and Ninth streets. The only two crossings in Fairfield not affected by construction are the underpass on Second Street, and the crossing on 23rd Street on the west edge of town.
