The late Pearl Waugh lived Calu Apartments and remarked to her son, Bob Waugh, the front circle of concrete with a picnic table outside her window in the apartment front courtyard would be a lot nicer with a roof. Family members decided to build a shelter over that concrete patch as a memorial to Mrs. Waugh. A steel roof and open sides allows for shade and breezes with an all-around view to the neighborhood. Helping to finish the project Wednesday were, from left, Donald Waugh, Bill Waugh, Bob Waugh and Darrell Waugh. Other family members have helped throughout the project.
