A Farmington woman faces three charges following the report of a disturbance on Thursday, June 2, in Salem.
Sheriff?s deputies were called to the 200 block of West Cherry Street where after an investigation, they arrested Melissa Jones and charged her with public intoxication-second offense, a serious misdemeanor; and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.

A Farmington woman faces three charges following the report of a disturbance on Thursday, June 2, in Salem.
Sheriff?s deputies were called to the 200 block of West Cherry Street where after an investigation, they arrested Melissa Jones and charged her with public intoxication-second offense, a serious misdemeanor; and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.
During the booking process at the jail, Jones caused an incident, which resulted in an additional charge of interference with official acts causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.
The sheriff?s office was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
