Fayelda Mae ?Faye? Peterson, 86, of Fairfield, died on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at the Jefferson County Hospital, in Fairfield.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., at the Word of Life Lutheran Church, in Fairfield, with Rev. Chris Fiske officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m., with the family receiving friends from 12:30 a.m., until the time ...

Fayelda Mae ?Faye? Peterson, 86, of Fairfield, died on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at the Jefferson County Hospital, in Fairfield.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., at the Word of Life Lutheran Church, in Fairfield, with Rev. Chris Fiske officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m., with the family receiving friends from 12:30 a.m., until the time of the service.
Memorials may be directed to the Word of Life Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor?s choice. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.murphyfuneralandmonuments.com. Murphy Funeral Home, of Mt. Pleasant, is handling the arrangements.
Peterson was born on June 25, 1930, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ira E. and Mae M. Peters Davis. She graduated from Packwood High School in the class of 1947. She was united in marriage to Darrell E. ?Pete? Peterson on Sept. 6, 1947, in Packwood.
She worked at the Jefferson County Hospital, in Fairfield, in her early years and was a full-time homemaker.
She attended Word of Life Lutheran Church, in Fairfield.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, taking car rides, and spending time with her family and friends.
Peterson is survived by her husband, Pete; her children, Julia (David) Glueck; and Karen (Roger) Vorhies; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Douglas E. Peterson.
