FBLA students attend national conference
Seven Fairfield High School students will return today after spending a week at the Future Business Leaders of America?s national leadership conference in Anaheim, Calif.

Seven Fairfield High School students will return today after spending a week at the Future Business Leaders of America?s national leadership conference in Anaheim, Calif.
FHS business instructor and FBLA sponsor Diane Goudy flew with six of the students to California Tuesday including Makayla Kessel, Adam Mueller, Alex Shier, Ammon Shaner, Jenna Nelson and Sage Richmond. Kara Greiner and chaperone Michele Greiner met the group in California the following day.
The students qualified for the conference at the state level duirng spring break and competed in the following categories: Richmond, banking and financial systems; Shier, Nelson and Shaner, marketing; Kessel, economics; Mueller, business planning; and Greiner, healthcare administration.
While at the conference, students toured main attractions in Los Angeles including Grauman?s Chinese Theater, the Hollywood sign and Rodeo Drive. They dined at the Farmer?s Market and spent an afternoon and evening on the Santa Monica Beach and Pier. In addition, they spent a day giving back to the community by helping clean up a seal beach.
FBLA is the largest and oldest business student organization in the world. A quarter of a million high school and middle school students, college and university students, faculty, educators, administrators, and business professionals have chosen to be members of the business education association preparing students for careers in business.
