The Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to the report of a collision at the north entrance of Wal-Mart at 10:32 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015.
Police reports indicate a white Mac semi tractor and trailer was traveling west on Winfield Avenue and turned south into the Wal-Mart north entrance.
A blue 2009 Chevy Silverado truck, owned by Clarence Nichting, of Mt. Pleasant, and driven by Steve Conrad, of Crawfordsville, was stopped at the end of the private drive waiting to pull out to Winfield Avenue. A black 2012 Dodge Ram, owned and operated by Galen Thomson, was parked behind the blue Chevy facing north in the private drive waiting to leave.
The semi turned south into the driveway. Conrad thought the turn was too sharp and would be struck so he backed his vehicle up, striking Thomson?s vehicle.
All vehicles stopped.
Damage to the Chevy was estimated at $400 and damage to the Dodge was estimated at $4,000. The semi had no damage.
