Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church to host evening program

The Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church will be hosting an Evening with Pastor Randy Larson of Sparta, Wis.

The evening  program featuring Larson will begin at 7 p.m. He will be speaking about sharing his passion for sharing his faith and equipping believers to share their faith as well.

Special music will be provided by Terry and Dee Scarbrough of New London. Following the evening program there will be a time of refreshments and fellowship in the church?s fellowship center.

In addition to the Sunday evening program, Larson will be speaking two times earlier that day. He will be speaking at the 9:10 a.m. Sunday school hour and again during the 10:15 a.m. worship hour.

Larson has been an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Free Church for 33 years. He served as pastor for 29 years and the last four years in evangelism. He and his wife Jeannine have been married for 33 years and have eight children and two grandchildren. Both he and Jeannine grew up in Bettendorf.

His first pastorate was his home Church in Moline, Ill., where he served for eight years. His next pastorate was in Sparta, Wis., where he served for 21 years. He now travels representing the Salvation Poem. His passion is to encourage believers to share their faith, equip them with a simple easy to remember tool, and identify the opportunities.

The Salvation Poem was written by Matthew McPherson, designer of the Matthews Bow, Mission Bow, and the McPherson Guitar.McPherson?s business exists to promote the gospel around the world.
