Fairfield High School hosted the first awards ceremony Saturday of what it hopes is an annual tradition of honoring esports teams and players from across the country.
The school hosted the Walter Day National High School Esports Award Ceremony in its auditorium. It invited esports teams from across the state and even three other states: Wisconsin, Washington and Oklahoma, to receive awards honoring them as champions of various video games the teams competed in during the 2020-2021 school year.
