Yesterday afternoon a brush fire spread across a cornfield with the help of a northbound wind, coming threateningly close to the home of John and Theresa Zihlman on Old Highway 34. Members of the Mt. ?It looked more out of control than normal,? stated Theresa Zihlman, who reported the fire. She said that her neighbor occasionally burns brush near the cornfield.
