Final education forum is May 1

Four topics are on tap for the final Mt. Pleasant Community School District education forum Tuesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. in the middle school media center.

Discussion topics will be: positive behavior intervention studies (PBIS/Character Counts); changes to the 2012-12 school calendar; district testing program, specifically the Iowa Testing Program and Measure of Academic Progress (MAPS); and any legislative changes to the Iowa Code and how those changes will impact schools.

Superintendent Dr. John Roederer and Paul Beatty, director of instruction will present the topics.

District residents are encouraged to attend the final forum for the school year. Questions should be directed to Roederer at 385-7750.
