WASHINGTON — The last Chamber-held forum of this state legislative session is scheduled for noon at Washington County Hospital and Clinics this Friday, April 14, with State Rep. Heather Hora and State Sen. Dawn Driscoll.
“WCHC is excited to host the April 14 legislative forum because it gives the public an opportunity to interact directly with our state legislators,” CEO Todd Patterson said. “We also look forward to giving them a tour of our facility and discuss our health care priorities.”
According to the 2023 Iowa Legislative Session Timetable, the 14th week in session begins as of April 10. As of that date, only a handful of bills and resolutions are still on the table for legislative action before the session ends, including bills passed by both houses, appropriation bills, Ways and Means bills, and government oversight bills.
At 11:30, the hospital will provide a complimentary lunch, and a tour of the facility at 2 p.m., or immediately following the Q&A period with legislators. Visitors are asked to use Entrance #26 to the building. Walk-ins are welcome, but RSVPs are highly encouraged by organizers.
