Final legislative forum scheduled on Saturday

Housing, wages and workforce will be the focus of the final legislative forum of the 2016 Legislature session. The forum will be from 8:30-10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, in the International Room of the Chadwick Library on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan University.

In addition to the aforementioned topic, the forum will include a general review of the 2016 legislative session with local lawmakers. State Rep. Dave Heaton, R-Mt. Pleasant, and State Sen. Rich Taylor, D-Mt. Pleasant, are both scheduled to attend.

Also joining the panel will be Travis Kraus, executive vice president of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance, and Steve Gray, of Cottage Realty.

The forum is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance Government Affairs Committee.
