Phase II, or the final phase of the Washington Street reconstruction project, will begin this week, according to city officials.
Project engineers will set up traffic control tomorrow (Wednesday) morning and traffic will be switched around March 7-13 to get the milling process finished.
Flaggers will be posted at all intersections to help direct traffic through the process.
The final phase of the project involves reconstruction work from Locust to Marion streets, or through the heart of the retail business district.
Contractors, engineers and city and state officials will meet tomorrow morning (Wednesday) in the final pre-construction meeting.
Work, barring any unforeseen delays, is anticipated to be completed in late October or early November.
