Find yourself a smile

A smile. What is a smile? My little revised and updated dictionary tells me that a smile is ?to show pleasure ? amusement, affection, etc., by upward curving of the mouth, to express with a smile ? the act of or expression of smiling?. I would have said that it was a big happy face. I guess I was right, only with different words.

Several years ago I wrote an article on smiles. If my memory serves me correctly, I said, ?A smile is of no values until it is given away. You can?t sell or buy one. You can?t put a price on a smile, nor can you borrow one.?

Some days it takes quite an effort to put a smile on your face, but usually you find that you will feel better just for trying. That smile will undoubtedly gladden someone?s heart.

It is a joy to be in the company of someone who is wearing a smile instead of a frown, don?t you agree?

If you need a little help finding those smiles, just make a little call to our heavenly father, and have a little ?Heart to God? talk. Just tell Him about your troubles. While you are visiting with Him ask Him for a smile. It works, I know. Remember God is with you at all times. He is listening. He wants to hear from you. He may not answer you immediately or the way you expect, but He does answer our prayers. By the way when you find some of those smiles, send some my way and I?ll send some right back to you.
