Fairfield Fire Department responded at 11:02 a.m. Sunday to an accident at Burlington Avenue and Highway 34, using a half-bag of oil dry to clean up at the site and returning to the station at 11:53 a.m.
Firefighters responded at 2:52 p.m. Friday to a field fire at 2270 Marigold Ave., Libertyville. The fire had an unknown source. Firefighters returned to the station at 4:15 p.m.

Fairfield Fire Department responded at 11:02 a.m. Sunday to an accident at Burlington Avenue and Highway 34, using a half-bag of oil dry to clean up at the site and returning to the station at 11:53 a.m.
Firefighters responded at 2:52 p.m. Friday to a field fire at 2270 Marigold Ave., Libertyville. The fire had an unknown source. Firefighters returned to the station at 4:15 p.m.
Another field fire had been called in at 2:42 p.m. Friday at 1932 Gear Ave., Lot 15. Seven firefighters worked to extinguish what began as a controlled burn and returned to the station at 4:15 p.m.
Firefighters investigated a report of a gas smell Friday at 1008 S. Third St., and found nothing.
