Fairfield Fire Department responded to a call at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday for a smoke smell at 1602 Southview Circle. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to investigate the building. A dog had knocked over a lamp and the lampshade make contact with the light bulb, causing the shade to melt and smoke.
