Fairfield Fire Department responded to two grass fires Wednesday.
At 11:48 a.m. nine firefighters went to 1852 Crystal Springs Lane, Unit B, Maharishi Vedic City. A burn pile was the origin of ignition. Firefighters extinguished the fire with water and returned to the fire station at 12:35 p.m.
