Fairfield Fire Department responded to a van fire at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday at 1808 Okra Blvd. A contractor?s tool van, owned by Jesse Harl of Batavia, had ignited from an unknown cause. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

Firefighters responded to a fire at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday at 611 N. F St. where they found an illegal fire; a loveseat/couch at the curb had been lit on fire purposely and left to burn.
Firefighters were called at 9:47 a.m. Tuesday to clean up an antifreeze spill in front of Walker?s Office Supply, spilled by an unknown person the previous day. Oil dry was used to soak up the antifreeze.
