The Fairfield Fire Department and its EMS unit report the following:
Friday
EMS responded to four calls: breathing difficulty; unconscious person; diabetic problem; overdose.
Saturday
8:52 a.m. - The fire department responded to a structure fire on Depot Avenue between Third and Fourth streets. An intentional burn of wood in a barrel caught a structure on fire.
2:17 p.m. - The department responded to a vehicle accident at Pine and Highway 34 to assist EMS and clean the road.
EMS responded to five calls: two falls; breathing difficulty; a car wreck; choking.
Sunday
EMS responded to one call: dizziness.
Monday
6:50 a.m. - The department responded to smoke detectors beeping at 211 Southgate Circle, Unit D. The faulty detector was replaced.
9:30 a.m. - The department was on stand by while a search warrant was carried out at 2146 Cedar Ave.
5 p.m. - The department responded to a vehicle accident at 185th Highway 1.
EMS responded to three calls: heart attack; car wreck; diabetic problem.
Tuesday
5:50 a.m. - The department investigated a smoke alarm at 2000 N. Court, 17A. A new smoke alarm is needed.
EMS responded to one call: weakness.
