The Fairfield Fire Department, and its EMS unit, report the following:
FRIDAY
7:42 a.m. - The fire department investigated a gas smell at 207 Southgate, Apartment C, using a 4-gas monitor. Nothing was found.
12:45 p.m. - The fire department provided mutual aid to Lockridge Fire and Rescue for a structure fire at 103 Main St. in Lockridge.
EMS - EMS responded to one call: hip pain.
SATURDAY
2:23 a.m. - The fire department responded to a smoke alarm at St. Mary Catholic Church. A blower motor had gone bad and caused smoke. Firefighters helped clear the smoke.
2:30 a.m. - The fire department investigated a gas smell at 207 Southgate, Apartment C, using a 4-gas monitor. Nothing was found.
SUNDAY
EMS - EMS responded to five calls: a fall; wrist pain; head pain; chest pain; and an anxiety issue.
MONDAY
12:30 a.m. - The fire department investigated a fire alarm at 606 W. Monroe Ave.
7:11 a.m. - The department responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 34, east of Umber. The response was canceled.
EMS - EMS responded to four calls: a car accident with injuries; shortness of breath; and two falls.
TUESDAY
EMS - EMS responded to four calls: a fall; a sick person; a breathing problem; and a Life Line alert for a fall.
