Fire renders Fairfield dwelling uninhabitable
MAHARISHI VEDIC CITY ? Fairfield Fire Department responded at 2:08 a.m. today, Friday, to a one-story structure/dwelling fire at 1675 Invincible America Blvd., B-27, Maharishi Vedic City, inside the pandits? compound, owned by the Global Country of World Peace.
The fire was of undetermined cause under a floor.
No injuries were reported.

Firefighters used water to extinguish the fire. The structure was rendered uninhabitable, according to the fire department. Firefighters returned to the station at 4:20 a.m.
Kent Boyum, director of Economic Development and Government Relations for Maharishi Vedic City, said it was an electrical fire that caused minor damage.
