Frank M. Hayes

Frank M. Hayes, 67, of Keosauqua, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at home.

In accordance with his wishes, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.

Memorials to Van Buren County Conservation Program may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 395, Keosauqua, Iowa 52565. Pedrick Funeral Home, of Keosauqua, is assisting the family.

Hayes was born on Oct. 19, 1948, in Davenport, the son of Carl and Mildred McNatton Hayes. He married Rita Jo Hervey on April 25, 1987, at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, southeast of Keosauqua.

He was a truck driver for Shipley Construction, in Burlington, and had been a driver for SEIDA. He also drove for several other trucking companies. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Hayes is survived by his wife; four daughters; a son; a sister, Pamela Joab, of Coralville; and a brother, Thomas Hayes, of Elsberry, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
