Free dental cleaning in Kalona

The Iowa Dental Foundation’s Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) is teaming up with dental offices across the state in effort to provide accessible dental care.

“IMOM is traditionally a large-scale, two-day free dental clinic hosted in a different city each year, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the large-scale clinic has been re-imagined,” a Facebook post from the Washington County Department of Public Health said. “These dental offices will provide a variety of critical services such as cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and in some cases more extensive dental care, depending on each patient’s primary needs and the dentist’s judgment.”

The Facebook post said free dental care would be available for adults only at Kalona Family Dental from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22. Positions are available by appointment only, which can be scheduled by calling (319) 656-3264.
