Ft. Madison sweeps Panthers
The Mt. Pleasant seventh grade football teams were swept by Ft. Madison in their final games of the season.
The maroon team was dealt its first loss of the season by a score of 44-8, and the gold team lost, 28-6, in its home game against the Bloodhounds.

The Mt. Pleasant seventh grade football teams were swept by Ft. Madison in their final games of the season.
The maroon team was dealt its first loss of the season by a score of 44-8, and the gold team lost, 28-6, in its home game against the Bloodhounds.
In the maroon game, Mt. Pleasant scored its eight points on Brady Sartorius? 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, followed by the two-point conversion pass from Sartorius to Jordan Magnani.
Magnani finished with seven carries for 72 rushing yards and a seven-yard catch.
Chad West had six carries for 42 rushing yards and had two catches for a team-high 76 receiving yards.
Sartorius had 40 yards on the ground on seven rushing attempts, and he was four-for-eight passing for 129 yards.
Tanner Ruby had a 46-yard catch.
The maroon team finished its season with a record of 4-1-1.
In the gold game, Mt. Pleasant scored its six points in the first quarter when Joe Coberly caught a 74-yard touchdown pass from Payton Kelly.
Kelly was three-of-seven passing for 100 yards on the day, and Coberly had all three catches.
Kelly also had three carries for a team-high 12 rushing yards.
Ryan Walljasper had two carries for 10 rushing yards. Briton Ensminger had three yards on the ground, and Dalton Smith, Cole Burns, Wyatt Carlston and Aaron Scarff picked up two yards each.
The gold team finished its season with a record of 4-2.
