Garage fire near Washington

A fire broke out in a garage around 8:23 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, in the 2300 grid of 290th St., just outside Washington City Limits. Washington Fire responded with crews coming from Wayland and Brighton as aid. The Washington Fire Department is unsure how the fire began, but the two cars inside and the building were deemed a total loss. There were no injuries reported.
