Geese nesting in planter outside Iowa eatery
A pair of Canada geese have been warning away people who get too close to the three goose eggs sitting in a big planter outside a restaurant in Urbandale.
The Des Moines Register reports that the two geese took up residence about three weeks ago outside Isla Cozumel Mexican restaurant. Then the female laid eggs in the planter.

The goose family has become a source of conversation for customers.
The Iowa Natural Resources Department says geese generally incubate eggs for about a month near ponds where they can find safe nesting sites with food nearby.
