Geoffrey Baker’s art will be available during Art Walk

FAIRFIELD - A one-week special exhibit of 32 paintings by Geoffrey Baker will open at ArtFiftyTwo during Art Walk on April 7.
The works include many of his larger oils, some of which are exhibited in Fairfield for the first time.
Those interested in purchasing one of these extraordinary works can also visit the gallery April 8-9 from 12-3 p.m. For a private viewing April 10-14, contact 641-472-0417 or geoffreybakerart@gmail.com.
The paintings are saturated with lively silence, radiating happiness, where the sensations of light and movement are recorded seemingly without effort of any kind.
The results are lyrical, atmospheric, poetic images that delight and embody the settled, lively awareness of the artist.
Baker once made the following statement about his paintings, “Eternity has the most beguiling ways of packaging itself. The painter seems to know just the object of experience most conducive to those drifts of his into inner silence — a state in which the ugly can become beautiful and the beautiful more beautiful. Metaphor. A world of total integration.”
This will likely be the final exhibition of Baker’s paintings in Fairfield.
